about

This two track ep features music by Andrew Firth which was originally recorded for a Jack the Ripper Conference CD given to delegates at the 2012 event. The original album has been out of print since that time. Both tracks feature the acclaimed Ripperologist and author, the late Martin Fido.

The track "Labyrinth" encapsulates the never-ending game of hide and seek played by Jack the Ripper and the panic amongst the population of Whitechapel that ensued. "PC 881" is inspired by the lone bobby on the beat at the time of the murders, his footsteps creating a 'metronomic beat' that echoed around the east end of London.

This is a free download, but you may name your price if you would like to support the artist.
