about

A two part suite of Mellotron, piano, sequencers and general atmospheric sounds that evoke the changing face of the East End of London over time.

Part One is set in the late Victorian period of Jack the Ripper, horse drawn traffic and those dark and satanic mills of the Industrial Revolution. Footsteps echo across rain slicked setts as the old organs and mellotron flutes play a mournful tune.

Part Two finds us in those very same streets over a hundred years later, with recurring themes from part one. However, here it is the motor vehicle that is king. Pedestrians trying to make their way from point to point are faced with the constant throng of traffic. Some things however, remain constant, with the church bells tolling as they have for centuries marking the passing of time.
